6 Months Old...

I can't believe it has been 6 months since we were so blessed to be chosen as Kyler's parents. I can't imagine our lives without him. He fits perfectly into our family. I just wish that we could slow down how fast they grow up. I love seeing him grow and learn new things, but it makes me a little sad each time I put away another outfit he has out grown or the fact that he doesn't love to cuddle as much. I love seeing him try new foods and the adorable expressions on his face, but it makes me a little sad that I don't get to cuddle and feed him as often. I love that he sleeps through the nights, but it makes me a little sad that I don't get to sit and rock him and listen to those sweet baby sounds in the middle of the night. So this next 6 months, I'm going to try and capture and embrace each and every day. I can now see how quickly they grow up and I want to enjoy every moment.

Such a handsome little guy!!!

I LOVE this picture!!! Such a happy & sweet baby boy.

A Cook face in progress. Anyone that know the Cook boys, know that they love to pull goofy faces for pictures. Kyler is learning from the best.

Here are some 6 month facts:
Weight: 15 lbs. 5 oz. (20%)
Height: 26 inches (45%)
Head: 17 1/4 inches (50%)
Things that he loves...going on walks, animals, bath time, eating his cereal, books, being outside, his mommy & daddy, mirrors, cell phones, sticking his tongue out, his binkie, and his jumper.

Things that he dislikes...loud noises, carrots, being on his stomach, having his face wiped, playing dress-up(in boys clothes of course), and having pictures taken.
WE LOVE YOU BUDDY!!!

Sunny St. George

This past weekend we headed to beautiful southern Utah to watch my little brother play baseball in a tournament. The weather was perfect and it was so nice to get away from the every day routine. We weren't sure how Kyler would do riding that long so we decided to leave after his early morning feeding which was around 4:30, so that he would hopefully sleep most of the way. He must love vacations, because he was the perfect baby the whole weekend. It could have also been the fact that he had 6 adults giving him constant attention. Which he loves!!! He woke up around Fillmore and was all smiles. We stopped to feed and change him and hung out for about an hour, to give him a chance to be out of the carseat for awhile. Once we were on the road again he played with some toys for about an hour and then fell back to sleep for the rest of the ride.
Playing with Grandma & Grandpa.

The weather was beautiful in St. George and everything was in bloom. We hung out by the pool and tried to catch a few rays. Kyler is still a bit small to get in the water, but I can't wait until this summer to take him swimming. I think he will love it.

We couldn't go without stopping at In-n-Out. (a couple of times)

At night the baseball games were a bit cold for Kyler, so he watched the ball game from inside the car with grandma & grandpa. Already getting driving lessons from Grandpa.

Hanging out with Aunt Kami in the hotel room. He LOVED all of the attention that he got. I think he sometimes gets bored at home when it's just he and I.

Showing off his baseball hat. I was worried about getting his little face sunburned so we tried to keep a hat on as much as possible.

Eating at my all time favorite place in St. George, the Pasta Factory.

Dad giving Kyler a taste of Root Beer. He wasn't sure what to think of it.

Enjoying the view from the top of Dixie Rock.

Yuck!!!

Need I say more. Kyler is NOT a fan of carrots. He has loved everything else that we have tried, but for some reason he doesn't like carrots.
