These boots were made for walking...

Kyler has such a fascination with cowboys, boots, hats, tractors, anything to do with the farm life. So after seeing some darling boots at Smith & Edwards I broke down and bought him some. He is so proud of his little boots and he looks so CUTE wearing them. Last weekend my dad was busy putting up 1st crop hay so we spent our Saturday night out on the farm letting Kyler experience everything that he LOVES. It amazes me that he never seems to get bored or runs out of things to see and play with.

Just like grandpa, chewing on a piece of hay.

He rode around in the field picking up hay for over 2 hours. He loves the tractor and asks on a daily basis for pa and the tractor.

Practice makes perfect...

Last week I had the opportunity to take my first bridal/wedding pictures. I loved doing the bridals and I felt like they turned out okay, but the wedding was enough to stress me out. I don't have the right equipment to do inside pictures. The lighting wasn't the greatest so I ended up changing many of the pictures to black and white. I have so much to learn, but I feel like the best learning comes from a lot of practice. I just hope the bride and groom were happy with what I was able to capture!

HaPpY FaThErS DaY...

I just wanted to wish the men in my life a Happy Father's Day. I'm pretty blessed to have such an amazing husband and friend. Jason works so hard for our family and always puts us first.

He is an amazing dad to Kyler and always makes time for his little family. Every morning when Kyler wakes up he says, "dad, shower" and then walks in to see if he is in getting ready. Unfortunately most mornings he has already gone to work.

He has such a sense of humor and it always making us laugh.

Even after a long day at work he is never too tired to play and have fun with Kyler.

I'm also one lucky girl to have such a great dad and now such a fun grandpa for Kyler. Kyler talks about his "pa" all day long and gets so excited when we say we are going to visit him. If you ask him who he loves usually the first person he says is "pa". Two of Kyler's favorite things right now are bikes and hats. So when you combine both of them Kyler is one happy little boy.

I also want to wish Gary a Happy Father's Day and thank him for raising such a great son. I know Jason looks up to his dad very much and had a great example of what a dad should be.

A week of S's...

We spent the past 5 days in St. George enjoying the Sun, Shopping, Swimming, Sleeping in, and the Shows at Tuacahn. We've tried to make it a yearly tradition with the Cook side of the family, but it seems like each year it gets smaller and smaller. We might be down to just our small little family of 3 next year. It is something that we enjoy and look forward to each year so I think we will continue the tradition. We left bright and early (5:00 a.m.) Friday morning in hopes that Kyler would sleep most of the way. It didn't end up happening, but he was still a really good. We stopped in Fillmore for some breakfast and to stretch our legs.

Kyler kept himself entertained with books, hats, and his tractor most of the drive down. He also liked saying "big" and "Todd" every time we would pass a semi.

Once we got to St. George we weren't able to check in yet so we decided to stop by a park and splash pad for some fun. Kyler LOVED running through the water.

Once we were able to check in we grabbed some take out and hung out around the pool. We ended up staying in a condo this year and loved having the pool to our self most days. It was also nice having a kitchen and family room to hang out together as a family.

We ended up having a nice surprise when my mom and sister showed up. We ended up having an extra room and show tickets because someone decided not to come last minute so I invited them to come along. They were only able to come for a couple of day, but it was still fun having them. Kyler loves his aunt "bami" and she is a great babysitter.

On Saturday we woke up to beautiful "HOT" weather so we did some shopping in the morning and spent the afternoon at the town square playing in the streams of water.

I LOVE the beautiful flowers and landscaping that St. George has. I only wish my flower pots were that big and beautiful.

Typical man, waiting around while the women shop.

Kyler was in heaven spending 5 straight days with daddy. Jason is such a good dad and is always playing and having fun with Kyler.

Two of the best things put together. Stairs+Water= Hours of entertainment.

That evening we got ready and went out to eat before the show at my favorite place, The Pasta Factory. Kyler was entertained by the birdies that kept flying in to eat the crumbs off of the floor.

The first show that we seen was Grease. Kyler loved all of the bikes and cars that were in it and that helped to keep him entertained. Tuacahn has changed their policy and doesn't allow children under 2 into the theater, but I wasn't about to take him to their daycare at 8:45 at night so we just pretended that he was 2. (21 months is close enough)

Sunday we spent the day just relaxing and spending time as a family. Jason and his parents went to a movie while Kyler and I stayed back and took a LONG nap. That evening we played outside, barbequed, and went and walked around the temple grounds.

By the time Monday morning rolled around Kyler was getting pretty use to going swimming everyday and would stand by the door and ask to go outside. He LOVED the water!!! The weather was perfect for swimming and it was so nice to have the pool to ourselves.

When Kyler wasn't in the water he spent his time in a lounge chair eating his "pips" I think he went through a 1/2 dozen bags of funyons while we were there.

Monday night we saw The Little Mermaid and Loved it. The effects that they had were amazing and the music was so fun. I would highly recommend seeing this if you get a chance.

I Loved spending some time with my 2 boys. Life tends to get hectic and stressful and it is so nice to take a few days and spend it with the ones you love. I look forward to many years of memories and vacations with my little family.
