Country one day...City the next.

Friday was the big branding/cowboy day and although I'm not
a huge fan of it I knew Kyler would LOVE it.
So we headed up to Portage to enjoy a little bit of the country and to
help Pa and Uncle Todd with the cows.

It was a BEAUTIFUL day and Kyler loved being able to run and explore and get as dirty as possible. I took the camera along to capture some of the fun and also to keep me entertained.

As if spending all day out in the sun with no naps wasn't enough
we decided to do it all again on Saturday.
Although this time we headed south and spent the day in the city.

We made stops at the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point,
Cabela's, City Creek Center,
and Temple Square.

Although Kyler didn't really care about the flowers he LOVED
shooting the guns at Cabela's and playing in the fountains at
City Creek and Temple Square.

Easter 2012

We spent 5 days straight celebrating Spring Break/Easter.
So get ready for a lot of pictures...

Thursday...Baby Animal Days

Thursday Kyler and I met up with grandma, aunt Kami, and cousin Annie
at Baby Animal Days. Everyone else seemed to have the same idea
because it was PACKED!!! We stood in line for 30 minutes just to get tickets to get in.

Kyler and Annie didn't really get too excited about the animals.
Thanks to grandpa they get to experience this kind of
setting on a frequent basis.

The highlight of the day was seeing the baby bears. So CUTE!!!

Saturday...EGGS & Eating

 Saturday was all about eggs.
Jason and Kyler went out to the egg hunt in Honeyville while I was at my photography class.
They met up with grandma and cousin Annie again.
After the egg hunt was over (10 minutes) they went back to grandma's house and
dyed some Easter eggs.
Two year olds and egg dye do not go well together!!!

After we finished decorating the eggs we enjoyed a yummy picnic lunch and
finished the day by rolling the eggs down a hill in the gravel pit.

Sunday...Easter Bunny, Church, Family Get Togethers
Sunday morning Kyler woke up to a maze of yarn that the Easter Bunny had left behind.
He had to follow the yarn through out the house to find his Easter treats.

All dressed up in his new Easter clothes.

"Mom do we really have to take a picture?"

After church we headed out to Grandma & Grandpa Walker's
for lunch and an egg hunt. Kyler finally learned how to pedal his trike.
It only took him a year to grow into/figure it out.
The Easter bunny actually gave it to him last year.

We finished the day with the Jason's side of the family for  Easter dinner and another egg hunt!

Monday... BBQ and 1 more egg hunt

Kyler and grandma Shirley putting together the puzzle pieces from the Easter egg hunt.

Wow!! What a full and fun weekend.
Now were back to the normal routine and counting down the
days until SUMMER VACATION!!!

Firsts...

I kind of miss that stage of Kyler's life where he gets
to experience so many firsts.

During the month of March he did have two new firsts:

He went in for his first dental checkup.
I was really worried that it would be a total waste of time and money, but he did so well and even let
them clean his teeth. I'm so glad that there is a place in town that specializes in kids.

The only advice from Dr. Low was to get rid of the binky.
That is going to be our # 1 goal this summer.
Any suggestions on how to make this not a nightmare???

Visit to the Living Planet Aquarium.

We had planned to go here all winter long, but never got around to it. So when our vacation to Vegas didn't turn out the way we had planned we came home a day early and stayed in Salt Lake and finally got around to taking Kyler there. He LOVES penguins!! He watched Mr. Piper's Penguins all the way to and from Vegas, so we thought he would be excited to see a real penguin.
