With summer quickly slipping by we figured it was
time to get a little camping in.
I enjoy camping as long as it's not for too long, there are flushing toilets around, and we have plenty of activities to keep us busy.
So last Friday we loaded up the car
(how do families with more than 1 child have room for everything when they go camping/vacations?)
and headed up to Bear Lake.
Friday we enjoyed going for a little walk along the board walk
and let Kyler play in the water by the park. We then enjoyed some cooler temperatures and sat out on the patio and enjoyed eating at Cafe Sabor.
Saturday we woke up to a beautiful sunrise
and some annoying birds at 5:30 a.m.
We spent the majority of the day at the beach with part
of my family.
The water temperatures are still a bit chilly.
Kyler wanted to jump in, but soon decided he would rather just
wade around in the water.
With September quickly approaching we try to spend as much time
as possible with Ty. Although he probably could be doing something more fun than camping with family, we are glad he is willing to give up a few weekends to do family stuff with us.
It was also fun having baby Max join us
on his first summer outing.
We finished the day by eating at La Beau's, playing Phase 10
until 11:00, and getting in some good laughs.
Before heading home on Sunday we decided to go and do
the hike at Minnetonka Cave,
since Ty had never been there before.
Notice Kyler's face in the picture below.
This is what happens when he goes 2 days without napping.
It may have also been the reason he decided to cry and whine for over an hour while we tried to finish the hike.
