May...

Before the month of May comes to an end and
I start a new folder for storing all of my pictures I wanted to include a few random things that happened during the month.

Jason was able to meet Thurl Bailey at a work convention that we went to.

Kyler is the BEST big brother.
One night while I was at Zumba he asked Jason if they could go shopping so that he could buy
baby Khloe something. He said everyone else has given her something, but him and he wanted mommy to be so happy at him. So they went to Shopko and he used his own money and picked it out all by himself. He bought her the little pink slippers so they could be her dancing shoes and the little purple outfit because that is her favorite color.

Kyler finished his year of preschool at The Peak.
Instead of a graduation they held a parent day complete with songs, ice cream making, and rocket launching.

Love the baby Mohawk that dad styled one night while bathing Khloe.

Kyler is so creative and loves to use his imagination.
He is always collecting paper and supplies to do projects with.
He doesn't ever let me throw anything away because he wants to save it for a project.

Our huge maple tree died a year ago and we kept holding off cutting it down with hopes that
it might come out of it. We finally decided it was time to cut it down. So with the help of a few neighbors and a couple of chainsaws we were able to cute it down.
Something that took 45+ years to grow took 45 minutes to cut down.

We had to leave the trunk and that one branch with the whole in it for a couple more weeks because of a family of baby birds that are living in it.

Kyler finished his soccer season.
It was kind of a dud since we were gone so much with the whole
adoption thing. Hopefully next year we will have more time and actually be able to practice with Kyler so that he enjoys playing and understands the game a bit more.

I love dressing Khloe up for church.
Girls are so much fun!!!

Once again Kyler being thoughtful and picking me a
beautiful bouquet of weeds:))

Weekend Words...

We had a wonderful weekend spent with family, remembering  those who have past on, and kicking off
SUMMER!!!!

Friday:
Much needed date night for Jason and I.
Yummy Philly Sandwich at Moore's Cafe.
Went and saw Blended.

Saturday:
Lagoon Day
Kyler went on all the roller coasters that he was tall enough for.
He needs to grow 4 more inches to be able to ride the really scary ones.
Jason about got sick on one of them.
I sat and cuddled Khloe all day.
Enjoyed dinner and the sights at Station Park.

Sunday:
Taught my young women's lesson.
Family BBQ at Grandma Shirley's.
Walked to the cemetery and decorated Grandpa Gary's grave.

Monday:
Spent the morning doing some much needed yard work.
Family reunion with my mom's side of the family.
Visited some more cemeteries.
Ended the day with a campfire roasting hot dogs and s'mores
for FHE.

Class of 2027

The past week was full preparing for
preschool graduation.

I can't believe that I just finished up my 4th year teaching.
Each year gets a little easier and a little less stressful.
I had a great group of kids this year and really
understanding parents with all of the schedule changes that
happened over the past 3 months.

This was also the first year that Kyler was an actual student and not just hanging out while mom taught. I don't know what I'm going to do next year at this time when he will be graduating preschool and heading off to Kindergarten:((

This picture pretty much sums up what it's like to be a
 preschool teacher:)))
1 student picking their nose.
1 student hopefully not being sick.
1 student who blurred the picture because he never sits still.
2 boys finding something interesting to play with on the floor.
1 girl being extra moody that day.
1 student gazing off into space.
1 student who is the class clown and is always being silly.
1 student scratching what hopefully isn't a contagious rash.
1 student trying to hide because of extreme shyness.

Take 1 teacher who tries to meet all of their needs and hopefully by the end of the year
they all know how to write their names, count to 100, recognize all the letters of the alphabet and their sounds, know their colors, shapes, days, seasons.
Are able to share and express emotions in the proper way, sit on a chair and follow directions for more than 10 minutes at a time.
Cut, glue, raise their hands, walk in a line, and that's just to name a few things:))

2 Months

I can't believe that Khloe is already 2 months old.
I finally got around to taking some
not so newborn pictures.

She was go good and cooperated really well.
I got so many fun ones to choose from:))

Here are a few facts I want to remember at 2 months old:
Weight: 9lbs. 7oz. 25% percentile
Height: 21 1/4 in. 25% percentile
Head: 15 1/4 in. 80% percentile

Very content and happy baby.
Eats 3 ounces every 3 hours.
Loves to be snuggled and held tight.
Doesn't nap very well during the day, but usually sleeps
 from 12:00-7:00 during the night.
Has started to recognize our voices, smiles, and talks back to us.
Not too interested in her binkie, but LOVES to suck on her fingers.
Likes being outside, taking a bath, swinging in her swing, and car rides.
Nickname, Sweet Cheeks or Cheeky.

A Few Firsts

It still makes me a little sad that we missed out on
Khloe's first 38 days of life.
That was one of the hardest things to leave the hospital without her, but knowing in my heart that she was meant for our family.

It makes me wonder what she went through that
 first month of her life?

One of my favorite things to look back over on this blog is
all of Kyler's first. It amazes me how much they grow, learn, and change during that first year. Here are a few of the firsts that I wanted to document.

First Bath
She loves to bath and is always so happy and content while she is in the water.
Kyler likes to help, but sometimes gets a little out of hand with the splashing.

First Doctor's Appointment
This may have been her only doctor visit thus far.
Her birthmom didn't have any prenatal care during her pregnancy and we
didn't get any medical records of visits that she had during her first month of life:((
Luckily she is healthy and doing great:)))

First Holiday
Nothing makes holiday's more fun than celebrating them with kids.
I can't wait for a year of 1st holiday's.
