I Need Your Help...

Just wanted to let my blogging friends & family know that I'm going to be teaching preschool this fall. After a couple of months of being a full time stay at home mom I decided I wanted to do something part-time. I missed teaching, but didn't want to be away from Kyler for that many hours a day. So I have decided to start my own preschool business. I need your help spreading the word! If you know of anyone who is looking, please send them my way. (For more information you can click on the preschool button on the side of my blog.) THANKS!!!

Fun Day at the Park

We took Kyler to the park that is close to our house the other day and he LOVED it! He loves going for walks and being outside, but especially had fun watching all of the kids play on the playground. We are so excited for summer to finally be here and to be able to spend our afternoons at the park. What a wonderful time of year!!!

Oh, How I Love Sundays...

Sundays have always been one of my favorite days of the week. I especially like them now that I'm not working. I love spending time with my family, going to church, taking a nap, eating Sunday dinner, and just relaxing. I also love planning out my week and what I want to accomplish. This past Sunday after we had finished dinner at my mom's, my dad decided to take the grandkids on a tractor ride. He has been so excited to take them and couldn't wait until Kyler was big enough to sit on the sit next to him. Unfortunately Kyler wasn't as excited about the idea. It was too big and scary, but Annie sure loved it!!
My dad is so cute with Kyler. He is so lucky to have such a fun grandpa.

After we were finished riding the tractor we decided to let Annie practice her walking skills. She loves to hold on to someone and walk so we decided to get out a doll stroller and let her practice pushing Kyler around. It was so cute!!! I couldn't believe that she was strong enough to push him, since they probably weigh about the same. He thought it was fun going for a ride.

WHY?

So I have never understood why people go and cut down huge mature trees that have been growing for 30+ years and then replant something in it's spot. Well that is what our neighbors decided to do. They said it was a trashy tree and they were tired of dealing with its seeds. Well I have news for them we have the same kind of trees and we don't ever plan on cutting ours down. The thing that really stinks is the tree was only about 2 feet from our property line, dang I wish it had been in our yard.

After
(I have never understood why people just leave the trunk. I think it looks so stupid!!!)

HaPpY MoThEr's DaY!!!

I hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day, I sure did. It was so nice to finally feel like I deserved to celebrate this day. In years past this was a day I hated. It was just a big fat reminder that I wasn't a mother. I would avoid church and sometimes even family parties. But this year I loved every minute of it. I love being a mommy to one of the cutest baby boys ever.

It is so nice to have a day that we celebrate the wonderful women in our lives. Now being a mom myself I'm starting to see the love that the have for their children, the sacrifices they make for their families, and the nonstop work that goes into raising a family. I feel so blessed to have learned from such a wonderful mother and grandmothers. I see myself doing many of the things that my mom did while raising me. What a great example I have to follow!!

I'm also thankful for a mother-in-law who raised such a great son!! Jason is a wonderful husband and father.
And on this Mother's Day I so thankful for this beautiful, strong, and loving birthmom who had the courage to follow her heart and place her sweet baby boy for adoption. We love her and will be eternally blessed by her decision.

Behind...

This post is way behind, but it seems like I haven't had time to blog lately. Kyler turned 7 months last week so we decided to head outside and try and snap a few pictures. He is getting better about smiling for the camera, now I just need a camera that takes pictures a bit faster. It would make things so much easier. I love his chubby cheeks!
His favorite thing to suck on, his bottom lip.

So handsome!

We're having fun now!

Okay, I've had enough!
Easter Outfits
I had to take a few pictures of the cousins all dressed up in there Easter outfits. So Cute!!!
The only way we could keep both of them busy and looking at us was by giving them little pieces of bread. Notice their cheeks. It's hard work getting two little ones to sit up and look at the camera.

Annie loves Kyler and gets so excited when she sees him. He is a bit shy and usually ends up crying when she comes around. She just wants to get him and he isn't too sure about it.

"Mom help me! She is touching me."

Oh, the fun these two are going to have.

So after our crazy and full week that we had during the 1st week in April, I decided to plan a overnight getaway for Jason and I. This was the first time that we had left Kyler since he was born, but he did great at grandma and grandpa's. They can't wait to have another sleepover.
We stayed at the Anniversary Inn in Logan, went out to eat, and stopped by Lowe's to buy the wood that we needed to frame the bathroom in our basement. The room that we stayed in was so fun. If you ever want a fun room at a Bed & Breakfast, I highly recommend this one. The bed is in the back of an old truck. One entire wall is a screen for watching movies. The surround sound is great. And they supplied us with drinks, treats, popcorn along with the nightly cheesecake and morning breakfast.

Enjoying a night at the drive in. We were actually able to watch a entire movie without pausing it or being interrupted.

The yummy breakfast that they serve.

Well that pretty much sums up April.
May is going to be a busy month with planting flowers, remodeling our bathroom, and doing registration for my preschool that I'm starting up this fall (spread the word if you know of anyone looking for a preschool next year) and hopefully some warmer weather.
