February's Little Things

February's Weather was gorgeous and very Spring like,
which means we spent a lot of time outdoors enjoying it:))

The trees are starting to get their buds and we even had to get out
the sprinkler and water the pansies.

Khloe enjoying the warm sunshine while waiting to pick
big brother up from preschool.

Khloe was able to experience her 1st tractor ride.
I'm not sure which one she was more impressed with, the
tractor or the cows.

Every spare moment that I have had during the month of
February has been spent working on painting our kitchen cabinets.
Our kitchen has pretty much been torn apart the entire month.
I'm so excited to finally be putting it back together!!!

I'm sure Khloe is glad that I'm done painting.
She spent way too many hours in her high chair eating treats
while I was painting.

February is dental health month so Kyler enjoyed going on a
field trip to the dentists office with his preschool friends.

While we were there we decided he was way over due to have a cleaning and exam. He did great and was happy to find out he was cavity free!!!!

I'm excited to be turning the corner on Winter and to be welcoming Spring in just a few weeks!!!
March is going to be a busy month with a lot to look forward to.

My Little Valentines

The weather on Valentine's Day was gorgeous
so I decided to do a little photo shoot of
my little Valentines.
(I love having a camera on my cell phone and it's quick and easy to document life, but man I miss the quality that I get when I actually take the time to use my good camera.)

I LOVE being their mom.
They bring so much happiness, joy, and work into our life.
Not a day goes by that I don't thank Heavenly Father for their amazing birthmoms and for their decision to place them with us.

Weekend Words...Valentine's Edition

Having two holidays fall within the same weekend made for a
pretty great weekend:))

Attending two preschools made for an extra fun
Valentine's Day for Kyler.
He was spoiled with cards and treats.

I never got around to making any chocolates during the Christmas Season so I had to redeem myself and do them for
Valentine's Day.
Friday was spent delivery and visiting those we love.

Friday night Jason surprised us girls with beautiful red roses.
Kyler went to Kid's Night Out at The Peak.
Jason and I worked for hours sanding and priming our
kitchen doors and drawers.
(Doesn't get more romantic than that:))

The majority of Valentine's Day was spent PAINTING.
We exchanged a few gifts and ate lots of treats.

Sunday is one of my favorite days of the week.
It doesn't get better than spending the night with family and
enjoying my mom's wonderful cooking.

11 Months

I can't believe in one month we will be celebrating Khloe's
1st birthday:(((
This year has seriously flown by.
I am loving everything about this stage and this little girl.
She continues to be the sweetest and easiest baby.

A few facts at 11 months:
She has the bottom 2 teeth, 2 I-teeth, and her top 2 teeth are working on coming in.
She has finally mastered crawling.
(No more walrus crawl.)
She says ma-ma and bah-bah.
She loves to scream at Kyler.
(He loves to tease her.)
She pulls herself up to everything.

She isn't a fan of bows and usually pulls them off.
She still wears 6 month clothes.
Size 3 diapers.
She has naturally curly hair.
Everyone always comments on how much hair she has.

She is very observant.
She loves to be outside and go on walks.
She loves animals, especially grandpa's dog.
Her favorite thing to play with are cords and the vents in the floor.

(dang gray hairs)
Cheat meal at Dixie Grill.
Saturday morning donuts courtesy of grandpa.

Phase 2 of the kitchen redo started.
Washed cabinets, sanded cabinets, primed cabinets.

Another Saturday night spent at Lowe's.

Beautiful weather.
Walks and playing at the park.
Sunday dinner outside.
(since the kitchen was a disaster.)
Young Women's lesson on the Purpose of Life.
Sunday naps on a blanket outside soaking up the sun.

Weekend Words

The boys started the weekend with skiing, a movie, and riding this motorized stuffed bull around the mall.

The girls worked on painting the kitchen and shopping for supplies to start phase 2 of the kitchen redo.

(No wonder Kyler is sad when the weekend comes to an end.
I'm the boring parent.)

Sunday we used the excuse of Super Bowl Sunday to get together with family and eat yummy food.

I come from a family who has no desire to watch sports, but it's always more fun to have a reason to get together so we pretended to care:))

Khloe really enjoyed eating her 1st sugar cookie.

The cousins are always way excited to get together.
They are at such a fun and noisy age!!!

I'm not sure who Khloe likes more, grandpa or the dog:))
