"Word" of 2019

My word for 2019 is TIME.

Seriously, how did we go from THIS

to THIS so quickly?!!!

I feel like time passes by in the blink of an eye and I find myself already wishing I could go back to the good old days.

I know that I can't slow down how quickly TIME passes, but I can control how I use my TIME so that I'm more present and more productive.

I want to look back over 2019 and see memories made with my family, goals accomplished, time well spent, and relationships strengthened because I invested TIME into them!!!

Also on a side note, I would like to show up on TIME more often. This 3 kid thing has really made this a challenge:))

January's Little Things

I usually don't wish my life away, but I'm always
SO HAPPY WHEN JANUARY IS OVER!!!!

We started the month with a shopping trip to IKEA for my birthday, followed by lunch at Goodwood and
celebrating with the kids.

Olivia is always asking for a SNACK!!!
This girl can eat:)

She started nursery this month and wasn't happy about it.

However, we are all LOVING the new 2 hour block.

On Thursday's while I'm teaching preschool the girls get to hang out with grandma and grandpa. Khloe loves helping grandpa with the chores.

We needed a little winter pick-me up so we traveled down to Scheels one Saturday for some indoor fun.

Khloe enjoyed going on a field trip with her preschool class.

Sunday view:)

And that's a wrap...
We are all smiles to see the month go!!!

Sun Valley 2019

We just got back from an extended weekend up in Sun Valley.
Last year was our first time going there, and we fell in LOVE and new we wanted to make it an annual tradition.
We had watched the weather every weekend during the month of January and waited patiently for the perfect forecast for our trip and we couldn't have asked for better weather!!!!

We packed up our little family and a whole lot of STUFF and hit the road Friday morning. We arrived in Sun Valley mid-day and headed straight for the slopes. While the boys skied, the girls and I went for a gondola ride, walked around the lodge, and kept ourselves entertained with activity bags. We were all happy to have a change of pace and scenery, especially after a LONG and uneventful month:)

Saturday morning we woke to SUNSHINE and blue skies, something that is rare during the month of January. We headed out for a family ski day at Dollar Mountain. Since I haven't gotten the chance to go skiing with Khloe this year, Jason paid to have Olivia go to childcare for part of the day. I was impressed with how much Khloe had improved and how much she enjoys it.
(She can be very stubborn.)

When I picked Olivia up this is how I found her. She can find a baby anywhere she goes. We enjoyed some lunch and then spent the afternoon hanging out while the boys did some bigger runs.

At the end of the day we let Olivia try on Khloe's ski boots and Jason took her on the magic carpet hill. Of course she LOVED it and wanted to keep skiing!!!

Sunday morning we woke up and decided to explore the town. We enjoyed a yummy breakfast at The Kneadery. went ice skating, went and saw the ducks, enjoyed dinner at The Village Station, and walk around the magical village square which was all lit up with Christmas lights.

We made a few stops on our way home to help break up the drive, which happened to including a trading post.

This trip goes in the books as one of our BEST yet!!!
I don't know if it's because the kids are getting a little older or if it's because they love doing anything that is active and adventurous, but they were seriously SO GOOD!!! It also helped that this is the first vacation in a LONG time that no one got sick:))
