Our Time

Every year when February rolls around Jason and I find a weekend that we can get away just the two us to celebrate our Winter birthdays together.  We usually head south to St. George in hopes of finding warmer weather.

We couldn't have picked a better weekend.
The weather was perfect (70 degrees) the roads getting there were good (no snow storms) the activities were some of my favorites (parade of homes, shopping, hiking up on Dixie rock, walk around the temple, and eating out).

The best part of the vacation came about last minute and ended up making this one memorable trip (more on that later this week).

On a side note: All of the palm trees in St. George look like this.
I hope they pull out of it, but after the cold winter they experienced down south, I'm afraid they might be dead:(((

Wonderful Wednesday

Wow I have loved the weather the past
couple of days. It has been wonderful to be outside again after
a long Winter. I'm not sure who is more excited, Kyler or me?
Today we pulled the bike out of storage and went for several rides around the block. It took a little practice and a few crashes, but
Kyler figured out how to balance again.

I got a little excited and decided to get our peas planted.
I usually wait until the first or second week of March to plant them, but decided I better get them in now in case I don't have time in the
weeks to come:)))

Kyler is the best little helper.
He dropped all of the peas in the rows for me while I
went back and covered them up.

This time of year I get so excited for flowers and can't
wait to have some color in our yard.
These little pansies and daffodils is what will get me through
the next few months while Mother Nature plays with our minds.

Valentine's Day

I Loved that Valentine's Day fell on a Friday this year.
It made for the perfect day to spend time
with the ones I love most.

Kyler slept in till a little after 9:00.
He and I then shared a yummy heart shaped (Kneaders Style) breakfast.

We spent the rest of the morning working on Valentine cards and treats that we
delivered to all the grandma's later in the afternoon.

That night we celebrated together as a family with a heart shape pizza, sparkling cider, homemade chocolates, and a few gifts.
Kyler was pretty excited about his new Ninja Turtle mask and toy.

Jason and I ended the night by seeing the movie "Endless Love".
It was a very full but simple day spent with the ones I loved.
