Kyler turns SIX!!!

I can't believe it's been SIX years since we got that
loooong awaited phone telling us that we
were finally going to be parents.
It seems like it was just yesterday and I can vividly remember all of the details and feelings.
Here are six things I want to remember about Kyler at this stage.

#1 He is very curious about life and how things work.
He will talk your ear off and most of the time he is asking some sort of question. Because of this trait he is very smart for his age.

#2 He finally started Kindergarten and is learning a lot.
He loves numbers and doing math and has recently starting reading.

 #3 He is very social.
He makes friends easily and is very well liked. He tends to be the ring leader in his class and sometimes needs to be reminded not to be the class clown:))

#4 His best friend is his Dad.
He is the happiest when he is spending time with Jason.
Whether it be skiing, riding rides at Lagoon, playing outside, going on adventures, or just hanging out he is one happy kid.

#5 His favorites include:
Star Wars, robots, fishing, pizza, grilled cheese sandwiches, skiing, dogs, cousins, Frightmares, and picking things from the garden.

#6 He has a kind heart.
He is a great big brother and loves his family.

Happy Birthday Buddy.
WE LOVE YOU!!!

Happy Birthday Kyler

I can't believe that Kyler is SIX!!!
This year I really struggled with what type of party to throw him.
He really wanted a dog for his birthday and I had the whole party planned out, but we just didn't think the timing was right and couldn't find the right dog:(
So last minute I decided to do a robot party.
It was a pretty simple party, but I think he still had fun and felt special. My favorite part was the gifts wrapped into the shape of a robot. Too bad he had to unwrap it:)

I think by far his favorite part of the night was playing with his cousins. I love having family over. It's just too bad it's so much work and kind of expensive.

Happy Birthday Bud...We sure LOVE you!!!

Ty and Val's Wedding

My little brother tied the knot on Saturday and it couldn't have been a more PERFECT day!!!

Get ready for a picture overload, but everything about the day was beautiful and I tried to capture it through pictures.
The weather, being surrounded by family, an amazing reception, cousins playing, and seeing my brother so happy.
I wish we could relive the day over and over:)

We started the day bright and early at the Ogden Temple.
This was my first time attending the Ogden Temple since it was rebuilt. I can't get over how beautiful it was inside and out.

After the temple sealing we enjoyed lunch at The Lodge.
It doesn't get much better than turkey steaks and Maddox rolls.

The reception was probably the nicest ones I have ever seen and left me wishing I could get married again.
(of course to the same person:)

Val's aunt owns a wedding business and really out did herself with this one. She transformed an empty hay barn into a wedding dream.
