January's Little Things

We kicked off January and the new year celebrating my
37th birthday.

These two play so cute together and I think I might have a problem always wanting to match them:)

Olivia turned 8 months old.

Khloe moved on from nursery to Sunbeams.
She LOVED nursery so it has been a hard transition.

One of our new year's resolutions is to have more date nights together. We enjoyed a yummy meal at Blue Lemon and walked around Lowe's planning out our new home projects.

We enjoyed a little getaway to Sun Valley.
It was our first time there, but won't be our last.
Such a fun weekend!!!

Khloe LOVES our dog Lucy.
She is always outside playing with her and one day she even decided to go around and clean up the poop.

In the coming months we are planning to redo our kitchen.
We've had a couple of bids and different designs drawn up. Now it's the hard part of making a decision.

During the month we updated our fireplace wall with some
shiplap and paint.

Stake Conference can be a little rough with small kids, but luckily this is how Olivia spent most of it.
We were super sad to have our bishop called as the new Stake President, but are excited to have him as the Stake President.

Favorite part of the day for Olivia is bath time.
She LOVES the water.

Speaking of LOVE, she shows it by giving the BEST kisses!!!

Sun Valley

When Jason bought his and Kyler's season ski pass this year it also included 5 FREE days to a Sun Valley Resort.
Jason had never skied there before so we thought it would be fun to do a mini winter vacation.
Everything fell into place (weather, schedules, availability) and jumped on the chance to get away.

We arrived on Friday, after one of their biggest snow storms all season. The boys hit up the powder for the afternoon while us girls hung out at the condo and checked things out.

That night my parents arrived and we enjoyed playing cards and making a plan for the following day.

Saturday we woke up to a beautiful sunrise and perfect winter weather. We headed over to Dollar Mountain, a smaller resort that everyone could ski at, and enjoyed a perfect family ski day.

We weren't going to start Khloe this year since she is kind of small and is very STUBBORN, but everything fell into place and she ended up LOVING it!!!

On Sunday we explored the town, since it was our first time there.
While walking around we saw an ice skating rink and decided that we would do that on Monday before heading home.

Monday after checking out of the condo, we took the kids ice skating (which was way harder than I remember it:) and then enjoyed a yummy lunch at Village Station before heading home.

Sometimes the best memories are made from spontaneous adventures. We all had a great time and want to do it again next year!!

8 MONTHS OLD

  8 MONTHS OLD

At 8 months old Olivia:
*Has 2 little teeth on the bottom.
*Says dada.
*Has started to crawl instead of just army crawl.
*LOVES to eat. We haven't found anything that she doesn't like.
*Can pull herself up to things.
*Loves her brother, sister, and dog.
*Wear size 3 diapers/6-9 month clothes.

She is such a JOY to have in our family.

Happy New Year

With New Years Eve falling on a Sunday we kept things pretty low key this year. We had a little get together out at my parent's home, played a few games, and had the kids tucked in bed by 9:00.
New Years Day we had a get together with extended family.
The highlight was going for a sled ride pulled by horses.

I'm always excited for a new year to begin and motivated to accomplish new goals.
Here's to 2018 being one of the BEST years yet!!!!
