July...

Here's a look back at our July courtesy of my camera phone:

Kyler's first movie experience.

Kyler's first experience at a baseball game.

 Beautiful Summer sunsets.

Ogden's Pioneer Day Parade.
Favorite entry was watching over 100 missionaries walk the parade route singing and chanting:)

Summer evening backyard BBQ's.

Feeding the ducks.

Feeding the horses with grandma.

Celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary.

One month to go...

Every morning Kyler wakes up and asks if
it's time for preschool?

We have had a fun and a some what productive summer,
but I think we are both ready for a little more structure.
(he is defiantly ready for some new friends to play with:)

Before Summer started I had made a decision that it was
time for Kyler to start helping around the house and being
responsible for his things. So I checked out this book at the library
in hopes of getting some good ideas.

I also went on Pinterst in hopes of finding the perfect chore chart.

So with a chore chart ready and some ideas from the book
we started our Summer off right.
(2 months in and we are kind of slacking off, but I have high hopes for the Fall.)

I quickly found that Kyler loves to help out.
I think this project was as much for me as him.
Sometimes as a mom it's hard letting go of the way you want things done/or having
the patience for a simple task taking a long time.

Some of his favorite chores include:

Making his bed.

Using A LOT of windex to clean the windows.

Watering the flowers with mom.

Staycation...Part 2

Park City offers so many fun mountain activities
and it is so gorgeous up there this time of year. We decided to plan
a few things that we could enjoy as a family.

Wednesday
Jason had found a 2 for 1 coupon for several of the activities at the
Olympic Park, so Wednesday was spent being adventurous.

Were we able to ride the chair lift together as a family, but since Kyler wasn't big enough
to do some of the extreme activities we had to take turns while the other went.

 Zip Line

Alpine Slide

Drop Tower

While at the Olympic Park we enjoyed watching them practice on
the bobsled and the aerial ski jump.

Thursday
It was our last full day in Park City and we had invited Jason's mom up for the
day and night. We decided to take a scenic gondola ride up to the top of the Canyon's Resort.
While at the top we enjoyed hiking around and taking in the beautiful mountain scenery.

Kyler was fascinated with all of the mountain bikers that we saw.
We wasn't afraid to go up and talk to them and give them high fives.
Once we were back to the condo he decided that he needed to take his bike out on a hill
and give it a try. Such a little dare devil.

Loved having a week to just relax and spend time with my little family.
Couldn't ask for anything better:)

Staycation...Part 1

Last week was spent at our timeshare in Park City.
My parents had gone up on Friday to celebrate my mom's birthday.
Jason had Scout camp that week, so we had to wait until Sunday to head up.
We spent most of Sunday hanging out with them.

Sunday
Every Sunday Park City puts on Park Silly Sunday Market.
We decided to head up to historic main street and check it out.
We walked around the little shops, listened to some live music, and enjoyed people watching.

It seems like everyone in Park City owns a dog and brings it to every event.
For a little boy who LOVES dogs this was the perfect place to see, pet, and admire lots of dogs.
Of course he was always drawn to the big ones.

Monday
We decided to make this our pool day.
Kyler had been begging to go swimming so that's what we did.
Kyler and Jason ended up swimming for 5 hours straight.

Kyler is such an outgoing kid for his age.
He isn't afraid to talk to others and usually ends up making new friends.
It didn't matter if they were kids is own age, teenagers, grandparents, or a hot tub of pretty girls
he would somehow end up making friends with them.
By the end of the week many of the guests who had been staying the same week as us new him
by his first name and would play with him.

Tuesday
We decided to spend one day down in Salt Lake doing different activities.
We started first thing in the morning and hit up The Children's Museum at the Gateway.
Kyler spent most of his time outside in the helicopter.
He loves anything that is real so it didn't surprise me that he enjoyed
that part of the museum the most.

After we had finished exploring the museum we walked over to the fountains at the
Gateway and thought it would be the perfect place to cool off and spend a few hours.

For the rest of the afternoon we walked around Temple Square.
The church history museum has a darling children's part that Kyler had fun exploring.
I loved just walking around and seeing the beautiful flowers and grounds.
I think I prefer visiting temple square during the summer months more than during December.

To finish off our Salt Lake day we enjoyed a yummy dinner at
The Cheesecake Factory.
