August's Little Things

August is one of my least favorite months of the year.
I start feeling anxious that summer is coming to an end and nervous about the upcoming school year.

We didn't have anything big planned for the month, but we tried to enjoy the simple things that we can only enjoy during the summer months:))

The girls saved their money and bought tutu's at the farmer's market.

We braved the CROWDS and attended the Children's Museum FREE kindergarten day.

Kid's Night Out at The Peak was on our Summer Bucket List.
While Kyler and Khloe were attending that, Olivia got to come on date night with mom and dad.

We spent an afternoon uptown supporting the Tour of Utah bike race. The kids had fun cheering on the bikers and enjoyed the free peach icecream.

We helped grandma and grandpa with their yard sale.
The kids are always excited when they can have a bake sale.

Olivia's "look" most summer days.

One last summer camping trip to Lava.

Soaking up every last pool day possible!!

Be Kind...Do Good

This year for our school theme, I decided to use the same theme that the kids' school has implemented.

Be Kind...Do Good
Change the World for the better.

We enjoyed a yummy dinner, talked and made goals for the upcoming school year, and ended the night with a Father's Blessing. Here's to hoping we all have a GREAT school year!!!

Back-to-School

Kyler experienced TWO first day of school days!!
He started out at the Charter school, which he has attended for the past four years, but we kept feeling like it was time to transition to the elementary school in our neighborhood.

Here he is on his 2nd First Day of School.
He was a little nervous, but mostly excited!!!

The best part about his new school is being able to wear "normal" clothes, being able to walk to school, and the lunch. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it was the right move for him and that he will make new friends and thrive.

Khloe could hardly WAIT to start kindergarten!!!
Of course she had to wait even longer since kindergarten didn't start until after Labor Day. She LOVES school and has made a lot of new friends (mostly boys).

Since she only goes half day she gets to spend the morning with me while I teach preschool.

Fair Week

Fair Week is full of our favorites:
FOOD...FAMILY...FUN.

The kids were excited to enter things that they had worked on during the Summer. They walked away
with blue's all around (except for the beautiful zinnia flower got a red?!!)
and enough premium money to buy some trinkets (or trash:).

We walked around and checked out the animals.
The horses and goats were the favorite!!!!

We all enjoyed eating our favorite "fair foods", especially the hamburgers at the rodeo.

Another year of memories made!!!
