August

August has been a long and stressful month for our family.
Jason was gone the first 2 weeks of the month for
scout camp and a work trip,
which left me being a single parent.

Thank goodness we live close to family and were able to break up those long days playing with cousins and hanging out with
grandma & grandpa.

Kyler's put his creativity to good use.
He decided to build Dora a house.

August was a cooler and wetter month than normal.
Kyler had fun playing in one of many down pours.

Jason took the kids to the Dinosaur Park one Saturday
while I was getting my hair done.

Eating yummy tomatoes from grandma's garden.

Attending the Ogden Temple Open House.

Enjoying a day date and eating at the best
pizza place around.

Highlights from Fair Week

Watching the Parade with cousins.

Family night at the Rodeo.

 Checking out all the animals.

Cheering cousin Annie on at the horse show.

Checking out & sitting on ALL
the old tractors and construction equipment.

Being together with family.

As usual we had a great time at the
Box Elder County Fair & Rodeo.

We visited with friends, ate way too many fried foods,
got rained on almost every night, played with cousins,
and made memories.

Summer Project

Each Summer I have big plans to accomplish projects
and check things off of my to do list.
This Summer was no exception.

After living in our current house for 8 years now, I was getting pretty tired of the same decorations and paint color.

I wanted something that seemed fresh and light and decided it was time for change. After many shopping trips, making several returns, and a couple of days of work it finally came together.

I'm happy with how it all came together.
I need to get our family pictures updated, finish the gallery wall, and then it will be complete.

Work Trip

Last week Jason had to travel to Escalante in Southern Utah
for a business trip. That made back to back
weeks that he was gone.
(scout camp the previous week)

He was a little worried that it was in the middle of nowhere,
but to his surprise it was one of the prettiest places he has been.

It was a successful week for business and he even was
able to squeeze in some time for a hike and sight seeing.

Maybe next time the family will have to tag along.
I'm sure I could keep myself busy taking pictures in a beautiful
setting like that:))
