Preschool Graduation...

May has been such a CrAzY month for me and I'm glad it is just about over. With this being my first year of preschool I had to do everything for the first time which included graduation. I stressed and worried about it all year long and especially the last few weeks. I don't enjoy being up in front of a crowd so that really stressed me out. Now that it is all over I feel like it turned out pretty good. Because the weather has been so unpredictable this spring I decided to rent the Senior Center instead of doing it in my yard. Besides the smell of the place, it worked out good to have it there. We had a short little program with songs and a little part from each child. I was so proud of each one of them for memorizing their parts so well. We also enjoyed a little slide show from pictures throughout the year. It was short and sweet and was over pretty quick.

For refreshments we had cake and icecream. The cake was so adorable!!! Stacie from Walmart made it for me. It couldn't have turned out any better.

I can't believe that my first year is over. It is always nice to have one year behind you, but I will miss the cute group of kids that I had. I'm already starting to think about next year and what I want to do the same and would should be changed.

Good-bye class of 2011...

Hello Summer!!!!

Michelle

Last weekend I had the opportunity to take Michelle's Senior pictures. (Kyler's birthmom) I was a little nervous that they wouldn't turn out good enough for such an important phase in her life, but when it was all said and done I felt good about the pictures that we got. She made my job really easy, because she is absolutely gorgeous!!! We decided to head out to my sister's house to use the orchards and old barns around her house. It was a perfect morning and the lighting was great. Thanks Kami for letting us invade your yard for the morning.

After we were finished there we decided to head up to my parents house and use the beautiful yellow weeds for a picture. Who knew weeds could be so pretty.

We finished off the day my taking a few at the good old train station. That was my 3rd time that week to go the the train station for pictures.

Thanks Michelle for the fun day. We are so proud of you for graduating and can't wait to see what great things the future has in store for you!!!

Purple & White

This past weekend was Purple & White and my little brother asked me if I would do their dance pictures. I wasn't sure what to expect since it was my first time working with a bunch of teenagers, but we had a great time and I think some of the pictures turned out nice. It seems like forever ago (12 years) since I was in high school going to dances. All I can say is I'm glad these kids have a different alternative for pictures than the cheesy ones that the school offers.

Mother's Day...

Mother's Day weekend was spent doing all of the things that I love. We started the weekend off by going to my favorite nursery and buying round 1 of the many flowers that I plant in my yard. I was having a hard time deciding which perennials to buy. I usually get all annuals, but I'm trying to plant wiser so I don't have to buy as many flowers each year.

Kyler was having a great time playing in the truck while I was trying to decide.

We spent the rest of the day working in the yard and planting.

For Mother's Day Jason was my slave and finished up many honey-do's. He finished leveling out and laying pavers for my preschool area. I wanted to get a swing set and put in this area, but because of all of the rules and regulations the state requires we felt like it would be too big of a hassle. So we just went for some smaller toys and things to play with.

On Saturday we celebrate Birth Mother's Day with Michelle and her family. We are so grateful for such an amazing girl who placed her sweet baby boy with us. If it weren't for her who knows if I would have been a mother yet.

After we left their house we headed up to Park City for the day and night with Jason's side of the family. The weather was perfect!!! We even got to swim for awhile.

All of us mothers just taking it easy.

Like father like son. One of Jason's favorite parts of staying at the condo is using the big fluffy robes. Kyler seemed to enjoy it also.

To end the weekend we spent Sunday night with my mom and family. I'm so grateful to have such amazing women in my life and I'm especially grateful that I get to be a mom to one of the cutest little boys around.

Nursery...

Kyler turned 18 months at the end of March and was finally old enough to go to Nursery at church. It was kind of a bittersweet thing for me. I was getting tired of wrestling and trying to keep him quiet for 3 hours, but I was also sad to loose my little sidekick. He loved playing, having a snack, and coloring his picture. (He is so proud of his picture and goes and looks at it on a daily basis.)

Since that first time we haven't been able to go back. It amazes me how he was able to stay so healthy all winter having 16 preschoolers around him, but he goes to nursery once and picks up every germ possible. I'm hoping he gets better soon and stays that way at least until the next time we go to nursery.
