Fair Fun 2016

The LOVE for the fair is something that has been passed down from generation to generation in my family.
I'm happy to see that my kids have a love for it too.

4th generation of fair lovers:))

Every year we do the same things on the same days, and even though the pictures might seem the same as years past it's fun to look back and see how the kids have grown.

The highlights from Thursday:
*Watching cousin Annie show her Bucket Calf and winning 1st place in her class.
*Playing with "Clara Bell" the calf.
*Khloe getting to spend time with both of her grandpa's.
*Eating a yummy rodeo hamburger.

Highlights from Friday:
*Cousin Day
*Watching Annie in the horse show.
*Khoe's 1st time riding a horse.
*Family night at the rodeo.
*Watching awesome specialty acts.

Highlights from Saturday:
*Checking out all the animals one last time.
*Watching Kyler ride the mechanical bull.
*Enjoying the entertainment at the Bandstand
*Kyler and Khloe dancing the night away with Jake and Lauren.

Weekend Words

With Kyler in school everyday I feel like our
weekends just became more valuable and something that
we will look forward to even more:))

This past weekend we organized and took our scout boys on a over night camping trip. Sine female leaders aren't allowed to sleep over we had to go somewhere close enough for me to come and go as needed. Mantua ended up being the perfect destination.

We played in the water, went on a hike around the reservoir, cooked all our meals on the fire, and passed off a bunch of requirements.

Enjoying a .25 cent ice cream cone before heading home.

Saturday night Jason and I went on a date night to the Restless Heart concert at the fairgrounds. We enjoyed good music, yummy food, and the atmosphere.

First Week of School

The first week of school is over and we all survived!!!
The best part of 1st grade is eating lunch at school everyday:))
The worst part of 1st grade is waking up early everyday:((

Kyler has a fantastic teacher.
She mailed him a welcome card a few weeks before school started, she has already scheduled 3 field work experience for the month of September, and we have received an email everyday letting us know what is going on in class.
That's what I call being on the ball!!!

I sure do miss this little guy everyday, but I'm excited to see all that he learns and the growth that he makes this year.

Park City Vacation

Every summer we head to Park City and spend a week
at the condo. This year we planned to be up there for Kyler's last week of summer as a final celebration before heading back to school.

We left on Friday and spent a few hours at Lagoon. We hit up all of our favorite rides and then had dinner at Station Park before heading up the canyon.

We spent the rest of Friday getting settled and swimming.

The weather was kind of unsettled during our stay so we took full advantage of the nice day on Saturday and spent most of our time at the pool. Khloe and I took a break from swimming and did a little shopping at the outlets.

Sunday it rained most of the day which interfered with most of our plans. During a break in the weather we walked around the Park City Resort and ate at one of our favorite pizza places.

Monday morning we spent some more time at the pool. Kyler took full advantage of the kid activities that they offered every day around the pool.
The highlight of the day was going and riding the Heber Creeper.
Khloe LOVES trains and we have never done it before so we figured the kids would enjoy trying something new.

Tuesday we decided we needed a break from swimming and spending time at the condo. We went to Salt Lake and hit up the Discovery Museum at the Gateway, walked around beautiful temple square, and ended the day with dinner at the
Cheesecake Factory.

Wednesday we took the kids to the Farmer's Market which they both enjoyed petting every dog that we saw.
Kyler also enjoyed taste testing a variety of different foods, cheese being his favorite.

We ended our week long vacation with another few hours at Lagoon and yummy lunch at the Pizza Factory.

It was the perfect way to end our summer!!!
