For most people the fair is just a place that you stop by to get a bite to eat, see some animals, ride a few rides, and have an excuse to dress up like a cowgirl:))
After attending this small town fair for the past 30+ years I value it more than ever and the lessons learned there.
In my youth because of the fair I learned how to cook and sew.
I was able to gain self confidence as I was given opportunities to be in front of a crowd.
I learned the importance of setting goals and working hard to achieve them.
I earned a decent amount of money showing steers that later helped me with college expenses.
But the thing I value the most about the fair is the traditions and family relationships that are strengthened during those 4 days.
I love that my kids are developing a love for the fair and hopefully as they get older they will learn some of the same lessons I have.

2015 Fair Favorites:
Animals
The animals are a huge part of the fair and Kyler and Khloe loved seeing them over and over again.
As in years past the goats are always the favorite.
Rodeo
I'm not a huge rodeo fan, but I do love that it is one of few things that my whole family will do together. The cousins have a ton of fun playing together and I look forward to a hamburger from the rodeo all year long.
This year we added a little excitement and signed Kyler up for the mutton bustin. He wasn't able to hold on for too long, but I was proud of him for being fearless and trying something new.
Family Time
These three were in heaven playing together and being silly.
I had to add this picture of Kyler and Annie when they were 2 years old.
They have always been the best of buds.

Entertainment
A highlight was getting to listen to a relative and his band play at the bandstand. The music was great and the kids had fun dancing the night away.
Until Next Year...
