GRATITUDE

Things I am Thankful for:

First and for most I'm thankful for my family.
Although things haven't gone the way that I had always envisioned and dreamed about, I wouldn't trade it for anything.
I am so thankful that I get to be a mom and wife.

I'm thankful for the man that I married.
He works hard for our family.
He honors his priesthood.
He is such a fun involved dad.

I'm thankful for my parents.
I'm thankful that they still have good health.
I'm thankful for the grandparents they are to Kyler.

I'm thankful for these two sweet ladies.
I'm thankful for their vibrant spirits and giving hearts.

I'm thankful for the gospel in my life and the peace it gives.
I'm thankful for this beautiful building that is only minutes away.

 I'm thankful for Kyler's birthparents.
They have been one of the biggest answers to our prayers.
We can't express how much we love them.

I'm thankful for Elder Walker
I'm thankful for the missionary experience he is giving our family.
I'm thankful for the Monday morning emails and the spirit that is felt through them.

I'm thankful for these 24 energetic little ones.
I'm thankful that parents trust me to teach their children.
I'm thankful that I'm able to be a stay at home mom while still contributing to our family./

I could go on and go, but these are a few of the things I'm most THANKFUL for.
What are some things you are Thankful for???

GUNS

What is it with boys and guns?
(I'm not a huge fan of them and it scares me to even be around them.)

A few weekends ago one of Jason's friends invited them to go hunting out west with them. Kyler was so excited and couldn't wait.
I was a nervous wreck letting him go and worried the whole time he was gone that someone was going to get hurt.

Weekend Words...

We spent our weekend relaxing up in Park City
with Grandma Shirley at the condo.
It was a much needed break and a great way to escape the stresses of everyday life.
We enjoyed being inside by a cozy fire while it snowed outside.
Kyler sat and watched the tractor scrape the snow.
Watched a couple of Christmas movies.
 Love the Hallmark Channel.
Kyler played outside in the snow with his new toy excavator.

Ate at 2 of my favorites places.
Zupas: Chicken Pesto Sandwich
Kneaders: Cinnamon French Toast
Did some Christmas shopping at the outlets.

Let the countdown begin...

One year down....one year to go:)))

Sure do miss my little brother, but couldn't be more proud of him. He is an amazing example and great missionary.
(And it only took him a year to finally send us a picture in his weekly emails.
Hopefully that trend will continue.)

Weekend Words

It's more like Wednesday Words:
No date night. Stayed home sick instead:((
Saturday morning yard work.
Raked leaves, cleaned out gutters, put flower pots away.
Put up Christmas lights.
Aggie Football. Finally won at home:))

Woke up Sunday morning to a Winter Wonderland.
Kyler's excitement, "It's Christmas!!!"

Listened to Christmas music.
Played outside in the snow.
Snowballs, Snow Angels, Snowmen.

National Adoption Awareness Month

November is National Adoption Awareness Month.
This year during the month of November we are going to be super busy trying to jump through all of the hoops that go with being approved with an agency. On October 2nd, we got a phone call telling us that LDSFS would no longer be facilitating adoptions:(((
A month later and we still have not heard an official announcement or been given any reasons why.
Kyler's adoption story was an amazing experience and was defiantly directed by the spirit.
LDSFS was a HUGE part of it.
It makes me a sad/discouraged/frustrated that we aren't going to be able to adopt through an agency that has such high priorities/values on the family unit.
The most amazing gift we've ever be given.

So for the next month or so we are going to be super busy completing our home study, putting together a birthparent profile book, and applying for financing:((

We would love for our information to be shared and just maybe we will end up with a
LITTLE MIRACLE.
