Kyler's 1 Year Pictures...

So my little man turns one tomorrow. I can't believe how fast this past year as gone! It makes me a little sad that he is no longer a little baby, but I'm loving what a cute little boy he is turning into. Here are his one year old pictures that I took. Sorry it's a picture overload, but I had a hard time choosing my favorites.

His birthday was a baseball theme. So we had to take a few pictures with a baseball jersey, bat, and ball. More about his party in a different post.

One year old and still no teeth, but he sure does love his tongue.

I love this picture! He loves to play in the dirt and it also shows how chubby his little hands are.

Family Pictures...

So I attempted to do our own family pictures using my camera, tripod, and timer. We went up to Docks Flat this past weekend to take in some beautiful fall color. I wasn't sure how I was going to get Kyler to look at the camera and smile, but to my surprise he did really well.

The lighting when we first got there was perfect!! I just wish it would have lasted a little longer so we could have gotten a few more shots.

Love this picture, but I wish there wasn't a piece of a weed going across Jason's face. Does anyone know how to photoshop that off?

Out of all of the pictures this one is my favorite. I love the back lighting.

FaMiLy FuN...

Last weekend we got in one last summer vacation with the Cook family. We enjoyed a beautiful and relaxing weekend at Bear Lake. September is the perfect time of year to go there. The crowds are gone but the lake is still great! It also makes for a pretty ride through Logan Canyon when all of the leaves have started to change. We had taken Kyler to Bear Lake early this summer and he LOVED playing in the sand, so we were excited to take him back. Shirley rents the family a boat and we always have fun riding around and being pulled in a tube. We weren't sure if Kyler would like it or not, but he feel asleep for most of the time. He wasn't a big fan of the life jacket, though.

Looking a little worried!!!

Playing in the sand with dad.

That night we went out to eat as a family and ordered the biggest pizza on the menu.

Riding the horse at the restaurant.
Every time we go up to Bear Lake I see people out riding bikes on the bike paths. It looks like a lot of fun, but it seems like we never have enough time to do it. So this year we made the time. We had some good laughs as we tried to petal this thing up and down the streets.

Kyler had a good time ringing the bell. I think Jason and I need to get one of these bikes. Can't you just see us riding around town on it with Kyler in the basket.

We stayed at the KOA in cute little cabins. There are a lot of other fun things for the kids to do there.
Kyler playing in more sand.
Going down the slide like a big boy.

Watching the birds from the front step of the cabin.

Swinging with mommy.

As you can see from this picture that we are exhausted from playing hard this summer. We have had a lot of fun and made a lot of memories. Hurry back summer we will miss you!!

Peach Days...

This past weekend we attended Peach Days along with the other 60,000 (?) people. Seriously where do all of those strange and interesting people come from? It always amazes me the types of people that flock to small town celebrations. This was Kyler's 1st Peach Days and I think he had a lot of fun. (It makes me a little sad that Kyler is almost 1. I won't be able to say it was his first any more.)
Kyler dancing to the music.

Enjoying a taste of Grandpa's donut.

Kyler decided to be part of the parade and push his toy truck up the road.

Cousin Annie and Kyler trying to into a piece of taffy.

Peach Days fell on September 11th this year. It was a neat sight to see this American flag and all of the local men and women who have served our country.

Later in the afternoon, Jason and his brother decided that they wanted to go on a helicopter ride that was going on down at the high school. That has always been something on Jason's list of things he wants to do in his lifetime. Kyler and I decided just to watch and take pictures.

Now it feels like summer is officially over and fall can begin. This is my favorite time of the year. So many fun things to look forward to in the coming months.
