June's Little Things

June seems to be the slowest summer month, but for some reason this year has flown by. Which worries me how fast the other months are going to fly by.

Nothing says summer more to me than spending nights at the
ball diamond. We've enjoyed spending a couple nights each week either watching my little brother play co-ed ball or watching
Kyler's t-ball games.

During the month of June I have a hard time controlling my
"addiction".

With how warm it's been we've had to find ways to keep cool.
We've gotten snow cones, gone without clothes (kids only), and
played in the kiddie pool.
I'm a little worried what July and August will bring.

I picked up a cheap bike trailer from the classifieds.
Usually Kyler rides his own bike and I just have to pull Khloe, but sometimes they both jump in and give me a great leg workout.

Of course we've had to put our season passes to Lagoon to good use. I'm finding that everything that we did last summer is so much harder with the stage that Khloe is in.

Nothing better than a summer night in the country.

Bear Lake

This past weekend we tried to escape the heat by camping up Logan Canyon and spending Saturday at
Bear Lake.

It seems like every Summer we have good intentions of camping a lot, but then Summer gets busy and we only make it once or twice.

Or maybe it's the fact that we do it once and I'm reminded of how
much WORK it is and then we don't go again:))

Kyler loves everything about camping which makes
all of the work worth it to see him so happy.

Khloe on the other hand wasn't sure what to think of it.
She likes being in the outdoors, but since she can't walk yet, that left her confined to her stroller, the tent, or being held.

I'm glad someone got to sleep in.
5:30 rolled around and the chipmunks let us know it was time to be awake. Khloe was ready for her nap by 8:00 a.m. and fell asleep while going on a hike.

Saturday was spent at Bear Lake's North Beach.
The kids loved playing in the sand (the water was a little cool) and I enjoyed people watching and working on my tan.

It makes my heart so happy watching these two play together.
It makes those years of worrying, heartbreak, and expense so worth it!!!!

Enjoying a raspberry shake.
I guess I wasn't feeding Khloe fast enough so she decided
to eat her toes instead.

All packed up and heading for home with
tired, dirty, and happy children.
