"Peaches"

As Kyler gets older, I feel like it gets harder to parent and know what is BEST for him. Looking back over the years there have been some things that we wish we could go back and have a parent redo (getting him a XBOX)
and then there are things that we are glad that he has experienced and been involved in.

Jason and I have felt like he was getting to the point in his life where he needed friendships with kids other than his sisters and cousins. We have also wanted him to have the experience of working together on a team and that he can do hard things.

Taking all of this into consideration we felt like it was right to have him play on a competitive baseball team.

It has been a BIG learning curve for him, since his only experience has been playing t-ball and machine pitch on city leagues, but he has worked hard, tried out, and made the
Brigham City Peaches team.
He is the youngest (and smallest) on the team, but he is enjoying it, making friends, and improving leaps and bounds!!!

Hoping this is just the start to many years of watching him play!!!

Spring Break 2

My Spring Break was the following week, but since Kyler had school we kept it low key.
We worked in the yard on a few projects, made a landfill run with a bunch of junk, and went to Lagoon for the first time of the season.

Spring Beak 1

Kyler's spring break happened to fall a week earlier than my break so it made it sort of difficult to plan anything as a family.

Since the boys both had 2 free ski days left at Sun Valley they decided to make it a guys trip and do a little over nighter.
The snow wasn't the greatest, but it was a great bonding experience for Kyler and Jason.

They headed out bright and early on a Monday morning and enjoyed a half day of skiing.
That evening they enjoyed swimming, going out for steak, and playing cards in the hotel room.

Tuesday morning they hit up the slopes for another day of skiing.
On their way home they took a detour to see the Shoshone Falls.

Easter Sunday 2018

It was so nice having Easter Sunday and Conference fall on the same day. Instead of being rushed all day going from place to place we were able to enjoy a relaxing day at home.
The kids woke up to see what the Easter bunny had left, we enjoyed a yummy Easter breakfast, listened to both sessions of conference, enjoyed a nap, and ended the day at my parent's house for a yummy dinner and egg hunt.

Easter Traditions

For 30 plus years I have been going to grandma and grandpa Walker's Easter egg hunt. It is always a favorite and now my kids get to enjoy the same tradition.

Some of the great grandkids.

The night was full of roasting hotdogs on a bonfire, cousins running through the pasture playing, coloring eggs, hunting for eggs, and karaoke. I hope this is a tradition that carries on for years to come!!!!
