One month to go...
I can't believe that Kyler is 11 months old! I know everyone always says how fast that 1st year goes, but seriously the past 11 months have flown by. I wish I could keep Kyler this age for awhile. It is such a fun age and I love seeing him learn and grow. I also LOVE that he usually sleeps 10-12 hours at night.
At 11 months old Kyler still loves his Binky and blanky. He is able to walk around with the help of his toy lion. He can say kitty, da-da, and pa. He can stand alone for a little bit and loves to climb the stairs. He still hates lotion and will fuss when you put it on. He loves to get into things that he shouldn't. His loves to pull the heater vent covers off and drop things down in them.
He has the prettiest eyes. That is the number one compliment that we get from people is how gorgeous his eyes are.
He loves to play "patty-cake"
He still doesn't have any teeth. I'm thinking its a good thing though, he always seems to stick out his tongue.
He LOVES the cat and will try to get her to play with him, but she has learned to keep her distance.
Box Elder County Fair
Well summer is over and there's no better way to end it than by attending the county fair. As a child I always looked forward to the county fair, but dreaded the Monday morning after when school would start. This past weekend we enjoyed 4 full days of the fair. It included: the parade, rodeo, watching my brother show his steer, seeing all of the different animals, food, food, and more food, and people watching. It seems like the fair always brings some pretty interesting people out. This was Kyler's 1st fair and he seemed to Love it! I know I have said this before, but one of my favorite things about being a parent is being able to see your child experience something for the first time. I love it!!!

Once in a lifetime experience...
A few weekends ago we were able to attend the ground breaking for the temple that will be build in Brigham City. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and we still can't believe that little old Brigham City is going to have its own temple.

The actual ceremony didn't start until 9:00, but because of the people that they had predicted would attend I went around at 7:00 to save us a seat. Jason waited at home until Kyler woke up and then joined up with me later.

Trying to keep Kyler somewhat entertained. He wanted down to crawl around, but since it was covered in dirt we decided to practice our walking skills instead.

6 Years
Jason and I celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary on the 29th of July. We decided to go up to Snowbird for a little weekend getaway. On our ways up we decided to stop by Temple Square and have dinner at the Garden in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. I also wanted to look at the beautiful flowers and practice taking pictures. (I forgot to charge the battery before we left so I didn't get to practice as much as I would have liked.)
Here is Jason standing underneath his favorite tree on the temple grounds. This is actually the place that he planned to tell me that he loved me for the first time when we were dating, but he ended up chickening out.
Beautiful Flowers!!! I wish my flower beds at home looked like this.
I love all of the hanging baskets and planter boxes that they have along the west side of the temple.
Jason flying through the sky on the zip line. I was actually pretty proud of myself for giving this a try. Usually I'm too chicken to try scary things. I really enjoyed it though.

The view from the chair lift that took us to the top of the mountain.

Jason was even able to find a patch of snow. The count down is on for the ski season.

Getting ready to race me on the alpine slide. Even though the directions say NO racing!!

You can't tell from this picture, but I now see why they say NO racing!! As I was going around a corner I ended up tipping my little cart and sliding part of the way down on my elbow and knee. I got a big cement burn on my elbow and knee, and ripped my shirt. The bad part about it was it happened right under the chair lift where everyone could see. How embarrassing!!!
After we left Temple Square we made our way up Little Cottonwood Canyon to Snowbird. When we arrived they just happened to be having the free outdoor concert series going on. We weren't able to park close to our room, so we ended up walking what seemed like forever to get to our room. It wouldn't have been too bad if we hadn't been carry all of our luggage in the rain. That was not one of the highlights of the trip.
The package that we bought was the Stay & Play. So the following day we were able to do all of the different attractions unlimited. We rode the zip line, alpine slide, and chair lifts.
